Dow Chemical (China) Co., Ltd. is a global leader in science and  technology, focusing on improving the core elements driving human  progress. In  2009, Dow achieved annual sales of $45 billion, employing 52,000 people  globally and operating 214 manufacturing sites across 37 countries,  offering over 5,000 products.

In 2006, Dow established the Dow Center in Shanghai, and in 2007,  partnered with Fulton to install four dual-fuel boilers. These include  three FBD-7.0-1.0-3P hot water boilers for balancing temperatures in  laboratories and offices, and one RB-2500-1.0 steam boiler for humidity  control. For over a decade, the boilers have operated efficiently.

In 2019, Dow retrofitted the boilers to comply with local environmental  standards.The three FBD-7.0-1.0-3P boilers were upgraded with Johnson  Controls' ultra-low nitrogen burners, and one FBS-4-1.0-3P steam boiler  was replaced. After the retrofit, NOx emissions were reduced to just  13mg/m3, well below Shanghai's 50mg/m3 limit.
